1. Installation from Monday.com Marketplace
Getting Board Translator is easy:
- Navigate to the Monday.com Apps Marketplace within your account.
- Search for "Board Translator".
- Click "Add to your account" (or similar) and follow the prompts to select the workspace and specific boards where you want to enable translation.
2. Accessing Board Translator
Once installed, here's how to open the app:
- Go to a monday.com board where you've added Board Translator.
- Open the "Board Views" menu (usually at the top of your board).
- Select "Board Translator" from the list of available views. (The app might also be available as an Item View).
3. Instant Automatic Translation
Board Translator is designed for immediate ease of use:
- Automatic Detection & Translation: Upon opening the Board Translator view, the app will automatically detect your monday.com language preference and instantly translate the visible board content (item names, group titles, column titles, and text values) to that language. No initial clicks needed!
- Changing Languages (Optional): If you wish to view the board in a different language, simply use the language dropdown menu provided within the Board Translator interface. Select your new desired target language, and the content will re-translate.
Note: The initial auto-translation relies on the language setting of your monday.com user profile.
4. Tips for Best Results
- Ensure your original text is clear and grammatically correct for the highest quality translations.
- While machine translation is powerful, for mission-critical information, a quick human review is always recommended.
